He has been Visiting Professor at the University of California in Los Angeles, IMPA in Rio de Janeiro, Kellogg at Northwestern University, Visiting Researcher at the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C., Cowles Foundation for Economic Research at Yale University, JP Morgan in New York; consultant to the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank and, for nine years, Researcher at the Deputy Manager of Economic Studies of the Banco de la Rep\u00fablica (1996 - 2005). His academic interests have been mainly related to general equilibrium theory, auction theory, game theory and mathematics applied to the energy sector, public health and competition policy. He has published in the European Competition Law Review, Peace and Security Economics, Latin American Journal of Economics, Journal of Mathematical Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, Advances in Theoretical Economics, Topics in Theoretical Economics, Energy Journal, Applied Behavioral Statistics, International Journal of Knowledge Discovery in Bioinformatics among others. He is the author of the text M\u00e9todos Matem\u00e1ticos y Computacionales en Macroeconom\u00eda (Ediciones UNIANDES) and since the second semester of 2005 he is linked as Professor and Researcher of the Economics Faculty of the Universidad de los Andes.
