Optimization of inventory logistics

Oil company challenged us to develop a technological solution that involved analytical techniques for inventory management and administration for the company's inbound logistics, with emphasis on stocking points and distribution networks.

Approach

We seek to implement a web-based inventory logistics system for the simulation and optimization of Company distribution networks. It involves the development of analytical strategies to simulate and optimize scenarios on the current network of the organization, development of software components for storage and deployment of the tool in a cloud environment.

Results

Benefits: Company inventory logistics leaders have a tool that allows them to have the simulation of the network of inventory stocking points. With this, it is possible for users to generate new warehouses and central storage points to validate the costs of warehouses, inventory transfers and transportation. In this way, they can see what would be the cost of making changes in the network and make the best decision regarding the optimal scenario.
