The holographic principle (A historical perspective):

The holographic principle says that all quantum gravity theories are highly redundant: To describe a 4-dimensional space-time it is sufficient to project its entire contents onto a 3-dimensional surface.

In my presentation I will take a historical perspective and, concentrating on quantum entanglement and black holes, we will review some of the great discoveries of the last century - quantum physics, special and general relativity, quantum field theory, string theory - until we reach the conclusion: We live in a hologram.
